Wow!! that was some travelling..! I didn't know what was happening. I woke up last Saturday, only to find my mom, ready with one of the most uninteresting things that human beings have invented - a nappy pad. Before I could even shout a big NO, I was given a fresh coat of cream with powder sprinkled all over. Normally, these things happen during the weekend when we go to the nearest Cosmos mall (see I even got to know the name..!) as some ritual which my parents observe. But, this time it was different. Before I could even even start analysing what was was happening, I was in the car, along with the fellow passengers and a truck load of stuff. My father was giving directions, as if he is going to fly an Airbus 360. I realised it was something more than a visit to the mall, and I was happy for that.
After a gruesome 8 hour drive, where I had to experience something similar to that of a space travel, we reached a hot and stuffy place - Kerala. It was kind of nice. The first day I was welcomed by an army of mosquitoes, which apparently was protecting the house from other invaders. It is only a strange coincidence that some of these mosquitoes mistook me as an enemy and attacked me through out the night. My parents were wise enough to shut them out after that.
The next day onwards, we started visiting places around and seeing people. I had a tough time smiling at everyone I see. There was new person I had to deal with, almost every second hour. Each one was trying to kiss me with overflowing affection and demanded the same in return..! But I liked meeting up with all of them, they were good.
My father looked very happy and excited during the whole trip. He wanted all of us to be excited too..! We managed to be excited, I hope. He was nostalgic about everything he sees, even the old magazine that was lying around. My mom looked a little lost, she wanted to be excited but things were not that exciting for her. She finally did some exciting things like going to the market and shopping.
I guess we would have spent at least a week there, before it was time to pack up. Overall, I liked the trip. A little hectic, but some change. I saw the place where my father lived, beautiful temples, trees, elephants, birds, rivers and some refreshing air to breath. Looking forward to the next one.
